Human Powered Paddle Sports Racing, Miami Style

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend has a new and exciting event taking place in 2012. Join other paddlers, or just come out to enjoy the race. Sea Kayaks, Surfskis, Outrigger Canoes, Dories, Canoes, Dragon Boats, SUP, Paddleboards and all other human powered paddle craft join in common adventure races on Biscayne Bay. Race courses range from a 100-mile expedition course to an 8-mile downwind course.

8:00 am OC6 Launch; 7:00 pm Sea Kayak Launch

 58-mile Biscayne Adventure -- Virginia Key, Black Point, Elliot Key, Norris Cut, Virginia Key

9:00 am to 11:00 am

Boat Set-up, sign-in, equipment inspection.  Sponsor and event set-up.

Mandatory Pre-Race meeting

16-mile Biscayne Roundup – Virginia Key, Cape Florida, Norris Cut Virginia Key

8-mile Virginia Key Dash – Circumnavigation of Virginia Key
Post-Race Party  Open to Racers and Non-Racers
4:00 pm - whenever

Post-Race Party, Miami style. Be ready for an evening of fun, food and drink. The post-race celebration is open to racers and non-racers alike. Post-Race Party includes Dinner, drinks and Awards Presentations and runs until the party is done.

Cost is $25 per person including dinner, drinks and fun.  Minimum number of participants required.
Dinner Party registration closes Friday, January 13th.
